I am a volunteer high school civics teacher. I played this video for my class this week and promised to award 5 points on the final grade to the student who could detect a fact that most interested me. Ahed Tamimi is trying to push the Israeli soldiers out of the curtilage of her home. You can see the family members holding hands to form a barrier across the end of their driveway between the ends of the wall defining their property boundary. One of my students earned the 5 points!
I do not propose to take sides in the struggle between the Israelis and the Palestinians in this post. The issue is morally complex in the extreme.
Like most Americans, I love Israel and the Israelis. I also have great empathy for the plight of the Palestinian people, including Ahed Tamimi.
Ahed Tamimi was unjustly, in my opinion, sentenced to 8 months in prison for this incident.
Psychopath @wolfblitzer says it is perfectly OK to Mass Murder thousands of women & children in Yemen with American made bombs, from American made planes, refueled by American tankers, as long as some Fat Cat arms co execs are getting a big bonus out of itpic.twitter.com/1XLmgVecwC
You are exposed to images by American corporate media (the Main Stream Media) in order to propagandize you to support American undeclared wars. Therefore, you will have seen images from the recent alleged chemical attack in Syria. Those alleged Syrian images were published in order to gin up support for an America attack on Syria, which attack happened on Friday, April 13, 2018.
Here is an image from a CNN report showing the “journalist” sniffing–with her own nose–to detect deadly chemical weapons. Were this a “real” thing, everybody would be wearing a Hazmat suit.
Warning: Shocking image below.
You will not have seen the image below from Reuters. The story from which this image is taken is found in a April 26, 2015 article in Sydney Morning Herald. This little girl is waiting for treatment for injuries received during a Saudi Arabian attack on Sana’a, the capital city of Yemen, currently held by rebels. America supports Saudi Arabia in its participation in the Yemen Civil War. These injuries are consistent with exposure to a white phosphorus weapon that is sold by America to Saudi Arabia and used illegally upon civilians.
You did not see this image until now because it does not support America’s involvement in the Yemeni Civil War. The war has no Congressional authorization and, of course, there is no Declaration of War.
Libertarians and Martin Cowen are anti-undeclared war. Join us. Be moral.
Libertarians are against the death, brutal injury, torture, starvation, and deprivation of all children (and adults) every where and at any time. The point is that only when showing the death of children supports America’s wars are those horror stories told. Comparing the Yemen Civil War and the Syrian Civil War.
